The Cancun Toros topped the Indianapolis Apex, 5-3, in Champions Conference action at El Coliseo de los Toros. The standout performance belonged to Cancun pitcher and Tokyo, Japan, native Usada Pekora. Roquefort Cotswald snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit. He's now 3-3 on the season. Pedro Martini finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

Cancun took a 4-3 lead on Troy Murphy's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Indianapolis pitcher Flop Quads in the bottom of the seventh.

"We did enough to win," said Murphy.

The win for the Toros raised their record to 15-11.
