Raptors Win, Splorger goes 4-for-5
|
The 2074 season is getting uglier for Outer Banks.
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Dimpley Splorger, the Boise Raptors defeated the Outer Banks Aviators, 10-6. Splorger was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Raptors. Billy TheKid was the winner. He's now 2-4. The loser was two-time All-Star Wombat Jones. Anne Dieu-le-Veut earned the save, his 1st, for the Raptors.
The Raptors benefited from a costly error in the top of the third. With Martinez Momspooner at bat and Boise leading 2-1, the Outer Banks miscue allowed Boise to plate 1 and take the lead, 3-1.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Momspooner said. "We did a good job of that today."
The Aviators, at 10-17, have lost 7 in a row.
