Led by Robert Oliver, the Outer Banks Aviators downed the Boise Raptors, 13-4, in 11 innings. Oliver was 4 for 6 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Aviators. Reliever Joseph Mathys Hendry picked up the win. His record improves to 2-2. Maximillion Porter, who is tied for 6th in the Legends in saves with 2, took the loss. The win puts Outer Banks at 11-16.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Bazooka Slow came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Boise pitcher Maximillion Porter, he hit a first pitch sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Outer Banks on top, 5-4.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Oliver told the Outer Banks Bulletin.
