Raptors Stumble, Lose 2-1 to Vandals
The Vancouver Vandals picked up a win at The Thunderdome, knocking off the Boise Raptors, 2-1. Starting pitcher Andy Beans played a key role in the triumph. The winner was Beans. He threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Marsh Mellow Jr.. Alejandro Abasi earned save number 4 this season.

Designated Hitter Atlas Sluggs made an impact for Vancouver, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Marsh Mellow Jr. in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Sluggs went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.

Sluggs said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

The first-place Vandals have a record of 17-11.
