Cancun took on New Orleans in front of a lively crowd.

The Cancun Toros went home winners at Full Moon Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Usada Pekora. Pekora stifled the New Orleans Rougarous, enabling Cancun to grab the 7-0 win. Cancun is now 21-8, 3½ games up in the Champions Conference West.

Pekora delivered a quality start for Cancun. The 5' 8" right-hander allowed no earned runs on 4 hits over 7 innings of work.

Pekora expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
