Providence pitcher Count Crabula did his part in helping his team defeat the Buffalo Surge, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Crabula got the win, improving to 7-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Nathanael Abel earned the save for Providence, his 2nd.

Seymour Baltz had a big 2-run home run for the Crabs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
