The Scorpions grabbed a win, 4-2, at El Coliseo de los Toros, overcoming a fine effort from Cancun pitcher Center Fielder. Fielder went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Reliever Bandit Keith picked up the win. His record improves to 4-0. Ryan Lee took the loss. With the win, Death Valley raised its record to 18-11.

Death Valley used a timely hit from Smalls to get the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Scorpions ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Smalls.
