Sad Sack Rougarous Lose 7th Straight
|
The Death Valley Scorpions locked up a win at Full Moon Stadium, knocking off the New Orleans Rougarous, 4-3. On the mound for Death Valley was right-hander Guy Roussy. He played a major role in the triumph. The win was credited to Bandit Keith in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Ea Nasir took the loss. New Orleans has now lost 7 straight.
Death Valley used the timely hitting of Bass Reeves to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Scorpions on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Roussy.
