El Coliseo de los Toros was the site of a tense game between the Cancun Toros and Death Valley Scorpions.
The Death Valley Scorpions got a stellar performance from pitcher Always A. Bummus, who handcuffed the Cancun offense en route to a win, 3-1, at El Coliseo de los Toros. Bummus got the win, improving to 6-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. Bummus allowed 1 run. Bandit Keith got credit for the save for Death Valley. It was his 3rd of the year.
Chauncey Ingram, the 23-year old designated hitter , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ingram contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Death Valley up, 3-0.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Bummus.
With the win, the Scorpions hiked their record to 19-11.
