The New York Voyagers banked on Leonidas Longpipe and he turned in a masterful performance. The left-hander kept the Outer Banks hitters in check. The final score was 3-0, Voyagers. The winning pitcher was Longpipe, now 3-3. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. The win puts the Voyagers at 13-17, while the Aviators drop to 14-16.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Voyagers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when first baseman Nolan Tegge hit a 2-run single. The single came off Sniper King and made the score 2-0, Voyagers.
