Losing Trend Continues for Toronto

Vancouver beat Toronto at The Lodge, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to second baseman Enrique von Caliente. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Holly Sheet picked up the win, lifting his record to 3-0 on the season. He struck out 5 and walked 1 in 6.2 innings, while yielding 3 runs. Jackson Kidd earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.
With one out in the top of the eighth, Brooks Walker had a game-changing hit. The Vandals shortstop slammed a run-scoring single off Siegmeyer of Catarina, making the score 6-4, Vancouver.
