Vancouver Gets 6-5 Road Win
|
Boyz II Chess Back Again did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Boise Raptors from being beaten, 6-5, to the Vancouver Vandals at Hammond Park. Back Again was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Vancouver is now 23-7, 5 games up in the Legends Conference West.
Akshay Hrishikesh had a key at-bat with no one out in the top of the seventh for Vancouver. With the bases loaded and the Vandals leading 5-3, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Hrishikesh. "You've got to get results."
