Rougarous Send Detroit Home with 6-3 Loss
|
The New Orleans Rougarous dealt the Detroit Demons a 6-3 loss at Demon's Lair at Laser Park. AJ Boucher was the star on offense. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Tim Westbrook, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Stu Macher closed it out for New Orleans, earning his 1st save.
Boucher had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch circle change from Swingand Amiss, he banged a grand slam home run to center, giving the Rougarous a 5-1 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Boucher.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Boucher told the New Orleans Herald.
The victory puts New Orleans at 9-22.
