The Seattle Sea Serpents downed the Nashville Stars, 6-1, at Gibson Soundstage. Stellar pitching by Ivy de Vries had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the Champions in innings pitched with 56.1, handcuffed his opponent all game. de Vries picked up the win for Seattle, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 5-0. Seattle is now 24-7, 2 games up in the Champions Conference West.

Jim Hawkins had a big 2-run home run for the Sea Serpents in the top of the first inning. With Seattle leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a screwball from 2071 Rookie of the Year Award winner Warren Peace and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Sea Serpents on top, 3-0.
