The Cancun Toros picked up a win at El Coliseo de los Toros, taking down the Indianapolis Apex, 4-2. Starting pitcher Nova Montagne was a big reason why. Montagne went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 3-2. Ryan Lee closed the door for Cancun, picking up his 4th save of the year.

The Apex had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Toros going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the top prospect Feka Ohi Kau came to the plate. Ohi Kau hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch screwball from Indianapolis hurler Ichabod Kranepool. It was Ohi Kau's 9th home run of the year.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Ohi Kau said after the game.

The victory gives the Toros a record of 21-10.
