Stars Collect 12-5 Win Over Scorpions
|
Martinez Momspooner was a major contributor to the 12-5 Nashville win over Death Valley. The Stars right fielder went 3 for 8 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Nashville pitcher Remy Lebeau got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Guy Roussy got the loss. The Stars, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.
Nashville used the clutch hitting of Mo Love to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 17th inning to give the Stars the lead, 6-5. For the game, Love had 2 singles and 1 double in 7 at-bats.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Momspooner told the Nashville Chronicle.
