The Toronto Pathfinders had to overcome a good performance from Providence pitcher Franklin Judge Cruiser to claim a 2-1 win at The Lodge. Cruiser went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Joe Random, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 3-3. The win puts Toronto at 13-20.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Scott McNeily contributed a big hit for the Pathfinders. With Toronto trailing 1-0, he hammered a solo home run.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said McNeily.
