Thanks in large part to third baseman Seymour Baltz, the Providence Crabs beat the San Antonio Sloths, 9-2. Baltz hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. The Crabs now have a record of 16-17 with the win over San Antonio.

With Providence leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Baltz came up to bat against San Antonio pitcher Johnny Tatum. Baltz hit a cutter to center for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Crabs on top, 4-0.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Baltz.
