The Death Valley Scorpions and Indianapolis Apex played an exciting game.

The Death Valley Scorpions topped the Indianapolis Apex by the score of 4-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Yvonne Escence. Escence went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 for the Scorpions on the day. The winner was Ira Clifton in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Quant Tsimicalis Jr. took the loss. Getting the save was Ole Serve It Up, his 1st.

Death Valley used a timely hit from Steve Gonzales Jr to get the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Scorpions ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Yvonne is still learning," said Scorpions manager . "The sky's the limit for him."

The win gives Death Valley a record of 2-2.
