Big Day by Burgers Ignites Vandals Win
|
Vandals designated hitter Danny Burgers put his stamp on his team's 4-1 win over the Buffalo Surge. Burgers was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Vancouver in the contest. Capsaicin Shrub got credit for the save for Vancouver. It was his 3rd of the year. At 15-18, the Vandals find themselves in second place in the Legends Conference West.
In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Burgers hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Burgers.
