The Cancun Toros did just enough to sneak past the Vancouver Vandals, 4-3, at The Scudder Forty-Three Stadium. Cancun pitcher Usada Pekora, in particular, had a standout performance. The first-place Toros have won 4 in a row.

Xander Azza, the three-time Gold Glove Award winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Azza contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning to put Cancun up, 2-1.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Vancouver manager . "The effort was great."
