Stars Zip Past Vandals, 7-1
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Vancouver Vandals and Nashville Stars get after it.
The Nashville Stars beat the Vancouver Vandals, 7-1, at Gibson Soundstage. Starting pitcher Chris P. Cream was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Cream got the win, improving to 6-1. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Cream allowed 1 run.
Hayden Andrews Jr. took Johnny Tatum deep in the bottom of the second. His 3-run home run put the Stars on top, 3-1. In all, Andrews Jr. had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
Andrews Jr. called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
With the win, Nashville upped its record to 22-12.
