Indianapolis pitcher Biggus Tittious Smittious did his part in helping his team defeat the Toronto Pathfinders, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Smittious picked up the win for Indianapolis, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 4-4. James Noble was credited with the save for Indianapolis, his 3rd of the season.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Brent Goldberg? The 29-year old third baseman Goldberg stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put Indianapolis up, 4-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Indianapolis manager .
The victory gives Indianapolis a record of 17-17.
