Apex Beat Pathfinders, 7-2
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Toronto Pathfinders and Indianapolis Apex get after it.
The Indianapolis Apex knocked off the Toronto Pathfinders, 7-2, at The Brickyard. Harry Callahan was a big reason Indianapolis won. The third baseman was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Indianapolis pitcher Ichabod Kranepool got the win, upping his record to 6-1. Professor Farnsworth got the loss.
Indianapolis took a 7-2 lead on Callahan's 15th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Swingand Amiss in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Indianapolis to the win.
"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Indianapolis skipper .
With the win, the Apex have a record of 21-14.
