Outer Banks and Death Valley duked it out and the Aviators came out victorious.

Outer Banks picked up a win at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, bumping off the Death Valley Scorpions, 4-1. Pitcher Lanky Schramm was a major reason the Aviators emerged victorious. Outer Banks reliever Maximillion Porter was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Deviver Votto.

Outer Banks used the clutch hitting of Steve Duke to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Aviators ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Schramm told the Outer Banks Observer.

The Aviators, at 19-16, have now won 4 straight.
