Demons Deal Scorpions 4-1 Loss
|
The Detroit Demons went home winners at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Goaty McGoatFace. McGoatFace stifled the Death Valley Scorpions, enabling Detroit to grab the 4-1 win. The winning pitcher was McGoatFace, now 1-0. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. The loss makes Death Valley 2-2.
Detroit used a clutch at-bat from Zen Bobrist to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Demons ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said Detroit manager .
