The Death Valley Scorpions defeated the Providence Crabs, 3-0, in Champions Conference action at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. Death Valley pitcher Guy Roussy had a standout performance. Death Valley raised its record to 23-14 with the win.

Roussy tossed 112 pitches over 8 innings to clinch the win for the Scorpions. The right-hander allowed just 2 hits, while racking up 11 strikeouts in the game.

Roussy told a Death Valley Today reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
