There was no shortage of dramatics at Vaughn's House.

Death Valley catcher Rusty Salmonarms had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Salmonarms went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, even as New York beat the Scorpions, 7-6. New York reliever Katsuki Bakugo got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Ole Serve It Up was tagged with the loss.

New York won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Ole Serve It Up on the mound for Death Valley, catcher Bighurt Thomas hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Voyagers fans to their feet.

"This game tested our mettle," said Thomas.

The win makes New York 16-21.
