In a tight tilt between the Indianapolis Apex and the New Orleans Rougarous, Maurice Bernard was the deciding factor. The Indianapolis left-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. With the win, Indianapolis raised its record to 25-13.

Bernard ran roughshod over the New Orleans lineup. The left-hander allowed just 4 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 10. With the victory, he goes to 6-3 on the season.
