The Amarillo Armadillos satisfied the home crowd at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod, treating them to a season-opening win, 9-1, over the State College Swift Steeds . Third Baseman Dusty Greer was the standout performer for Amarillo. The winner was Amarillo reliever Zoe D'yak, now 1-0. The loser was Biz Kitmaker.

Bill Slamsquatch had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fourth for Amarillo. With the bases loaded and the Armadillos leading 2-1, he hit a sacrifice fly.
