Fans of the Louisville Lemurs who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Louisville win over the visiting Anchorage Wheelers, 7-5. Pim Pimling started for the home team against Wham A Geddon. Callum Justice earned accolades for his performance. Earning his 1st save of the year was John Waffle.

Cal Covid had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Lemurs. Coming up with the bases loaded and Louisville trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Justice.
