Puerto Rico Beaten, 6-3, by Brew City
|
Fans of the Brew City Bears who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Brew City win over the visiting Puerto Rico Ranas, 6-3. Maru Zensky started for the home team against Lucas Trenson. Abram Johnson earned accolades for his performance. Brew City reliever Rufus LaFaro picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kerr Mitt [BOT] took the loss.
The decisive blow was delivered by Srevor Tory in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 35-year old right-handed pitcher Harry Berry [BOT] to win the game for Brew City. The home crowd went nuts.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Tory said.
