Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Florida Flamingos were eager to watch Moe Mentum square off against Jean Girard [BOT] of the visiting Puerto Rico Ranas. In the end, the Flamingos won the game, 3-2, with Moe Mentum leading the way. Mentum picked up the win for Florida, going 5 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0.
