The Providence Crabs topped the San Antonio Sloths, 5-3, in Legends Conference action at The Pot. The game was highlighted by the performance of Providence pitcher Joe Random. Random, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. Randy Colón closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

Providence first baseman Seymour Baltz helped the Crabs go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Baltz hit a run-scoring single off San Antonio pitcher Carlos Krash.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Baltz said after the game.

San Antonio, with the loss, is still a robust 3-1.
