Firehawks 6-3 Victors Over Puerto Rico
|
California parlayed a decent outing from starter David Sears into a solid win over the Puerto Rico Ranas. The final score was 6-3. Mid AtBest came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Puerto Rico is 0-2 after the loss.
The United States-born Woop Woop came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Firehawks trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to center to put California on top.
"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Sears.
