The Puerto Rico Ranas topped the Brew City Bears, 6-5, with center fielder Sim Breaker playing a big role. Breaker went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Ranas in the win. Puerto Rico is off to a hot start at 2-1.
The result might have been different for Puerto Rico, had it not been for Daddy Blaney, the 28-year old designated hitter . Blaney stroked a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Puerto Rico up, 6-5. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
