Brew City got a terrific game from designated hitter Brian Bleeker. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to California, 6-5. Bleeker was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Chad Powers picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Pedro Papelbottom suffered the loss. The loss drops the Bears to 1-2.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With California trailing 5-4, Devante Moore hit a fastball from Pedro Papelbottom to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Firehawks had a walk-off win.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Moore said.
