Space Rangers Lose, 5-3
|
The Death Valley Scorpions withstood an impressive performance by Lunar Base first baseman Link Althouse to defeat the Space Rangers, 5-3, at Lunar Base SkyDome. Althouse went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Femini Nomenon picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-0 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 1 in 6.1 innings, while yielding 3 runs. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Bandit Keith.
Death Valley designated hitter Laser Show contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a cutter to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Scorpions ahead, 4-1.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Show.
The defeat makes Lunar Base 1-3.
