Though he had a terrific game, Bobs Bigboy could not prevent his team, the Brew City Bears, from absorbing a loss. Anchorage won the game, 4-3. Bigboy went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Anchorage pitcher Smoki Zazaki got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Aoife Carter got the loss. George Fantobens picked up his 1st save of the season.
Keon Lennedy had a direct impact on the outcome. Lennedy contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Anchorage up, 3-1.
Anchorage manager commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
The loss lowers the Brew City record to 1-4.
