The State College Swift Steeds got a superb performance from pitcher Biz Kitmaker, but the Kansas City Hepcats still won the game, 6-4. Kitmaker threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The win puts Kansas City at 3-2.

Had John Tatton not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Tatton hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Hepcats.

"We've got a great group of guys," Tatton said, "and we're having fun right now."
