With second baseman John Tatton leading the charge, the Kansas City Hepcats defeated the State College Swift Steeds , 18-7, at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark. Tatton was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 7. The winner was Jose Jakob Jingleheimer Schmidt in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Twain Teetoo took the loss. The loss makes State College 3-3.

Tatton contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Kansas City get the win.
