The Nashville Stars defeated the Death Valley Scorpions, 13-4, at Gibson Soundstage. Leading the charge for Nashville was right fielder J.B. Rainier. He went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 4 RBI. The save went to Masahiro Sato, number 1 for him. The victory makes Nashville 3-2.

Ford Lincoln-Mercury, who finished 3rd in the Champions in RBI with 89 last year, helped out the Nashville cause in the bottom of the third inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Lincoln-Mercury.
