California and State College duked it out and the Firehawks came out victorious.

California pitcher John Valek IV did his part in helping his team beat the State College Swift Steeds , 4-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Valek IV got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 5.1 innings. Valek IV allowed 1 run.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons seemed to enjoy watching the Minor League PBE action.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Valek IV.
