Hepcats Thrash Firehawks, 13-1

The home crowd had a good time watching the California Firehawks and Kansas City Hepcats get after it.
The Kansas City Hepcats beat the California Firehawks, 13-1, at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good. Kansas City left fielder Red Panda led the way. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Juan Legacypoint [BOT] earned the save, his 1st.
With Kansas City trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Panda hit a 2-run single off California hurler Dr. Hubert Malbec. It was the 9th hit of the season for Panda and put his team ahead, 2-1.
California manager called the blowout loss "nothing to write home about."
The win gives Kansas City a record of 5-1.
