Lemurs Take Down Firehawks, 5-2
|
Louisville beat California on the strength of starter Cornelius George-Braxton's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. Louisville has a record of 4-3.
The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Robin Griffin came to bat in the top of the 12th. Facing California pitcher J.Y. Park, he hit a 1-2 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Louisville on top, 3-2.
"I still think this team can play even better," George-Braxton told the Louisville Times.
