Stelle Helps California Cruise to 12-1 Win
|
California took on Anchorage in front of a lively crowd.
Stelle was instrumental in his team's 12-1 triumph over the Anchorage Wheelers. The designated hitter went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the California Firehawks. Adam Whittom, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-1. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 3 and walking 1.
California relied on the bat of Devin Harris to get the win. The first baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Firehawks ahead, 4-0. For the game, Harris had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
