The Chicago Kingpins defeated the Amarillo Armadillos, 8-4, at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. Leading the charge for Chicago was left fielder Boots Poffenberger. He was 3-3 with a double and 2 singles. The loss makes Amarillo 3-4.

The Kingpins got a big hit from catcher Emilian Vega. In the bottom of the sixth, Vega smacked a bases-clearing double off Amarillo pitcher Kaitlyn Montreal. It was his 1st double of the season. Suddenly, the Kingpins were ahead, 4-3.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Vega.
