The Anchorage Wheelers defeated the California Firehawks, 10-3, at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. Anchorage was led by 21-year old left fielder Keon Lennedy, who was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Pickle Riedemann got the win, improving to 1-1. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. California, with the loss, is 4-3.

Lennedy contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Anchorage in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Lennedy took a changeup from Ingrid Keelhauler and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Wheelers to leap in front, 2-1.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Lennedy told the Anchorage Daily.
