Florida Slaps 4-3 Loss on State College
|
The Florida Flamingos defeated the State College Swift Steeds , 4-3. Doing his part was left fielder McScootie Fortune, who was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. LaLa Dee got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 3. Lilyin Blue notched his 1st save of the season.
Early in the game, Fortune had a 2-run home run for Florida. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Flamingos on top, 4-2.
"This was a good win," said Fortune.
With the loss, State College drops to 5-3.
