Flamingos Down Hepcats, 5-2
|
Florida catcher Samir Noff contributed to his team's 5-2 win over the Kansas City Hepcats. Noff, who is the 4th-best prospect in the Flamingos organization, went 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Flamingos. George Georgeas got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. Kansas City falls to 6-2.
Spinosaurus Bill dealt the Hepcats a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Florida leading 2-0, Bill, who is rated as the 38th best prospect by BNN, hit a 2-2 cutter for a 2-run single.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Noff told the Florida Observer.
