Streaking Wheelers Win Another One, 5-1
|
No one was more impactful than Pass in the 5-1 Anchorage win over California. Pass, who is the top prospect in the Wheelers organization, was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Wheelers raised their record to 7-1.
Anchorage used a well-timed hit by Ricardo Lomero II to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wheelers ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Lomero II told the Anchorage Citizen.
