Slow Hits Two Homers in 8-5 Win for State College
|
Behind the hitting of Bazooka Slow, the State College Swift Steeds stopped the Florida Flamingos, 8-5. Slow slugged 2 home runs for the Swift Steeds . State College reliever Twain Teetoo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Pord Larquad took the loss. The win puts State College at 4-4.
Emidas Blair dealt the Flamingos a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and State College leading 3-2, Blair, who is the 2nd-best prospect in the Swift Steeds organization, hit a first pitch screwball for a 2-run double.
"We take it day by day here," said Slow, "and today was a good one for us."
