Puerto Rico starter Ottov Yeoj had a strong outing against the State College Swift Steeds at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-1 win. The winning pitcher was Yeoj, now 2-0. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Harry Berry recorded the save, his 1st.

Scoops Cunningham had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Puerto Rico. He came through with a 2-run single to put Puerto Rico in front, 5-1.

"Ottov -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Ranas manager . "He was the key to us winning."

The win puts Puerto Rico at 4-4.
