Wheelers Collect 7-6 Win Over Firehawks
|
The Anchorage Wheelers picked up a win at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons, taking down the California Firehawks, 7-6. Starting pitcher Warren Peace was a big reason why. The win was credited to Missizz Durk in relief. His record improves to 1-0. MiPBE Champions Season 24 took the loss. The loss drops the Firehawks to 6-3.
The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Warrior King came to bat in the top of the 15th. Facing California pitcher MiPBE Champions Season 24, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Anchorage on top, 6-5.
In postgame comments, King said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
