Wheelers Earn 6-4 Win Against Lemurs
|
The Louisville Lemurs got a superb performance from pitcher Brian Eshleman III, but the Anchorage Wheelers still won the game, 6-4. Eshleman III threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Anchorage reliever Andre Pope was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The ChaosMod [BOT] took the loss. George Fantobens notched his 1st save of the season.
Joey Maxx came through with a big-time hit for Anchorage. The catcher smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Anchorage manager .
The loss drops Louisville to 4-5.
