Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Yoshinori Akiyama, the Brew City Bears lost to the Anchorage Wheelers, 9-5. Akiyama went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The loss drops Brew City to 3-6.

Anchorage took the lead, 9-5, on Brayden Verity's 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Brew City pitcher Rufus LaFaro in the bottom of the eighth.
