Baller Stars for Wheelers in 8-3 Win
|
The Anchorage Wheelers defeated the Brew City Bears by the score of 8-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Bullitt Baller. Baller went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Wheelers on the day. Wham A Geddon, the winning pitcher, is now 1-1. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 4. With the loss, Brew City sinks to 5-4.
With Anchorage leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Baller came up to bat against Brew City pitcher Aoife Carter. Baller hit a circle change to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Wheelers on top, 6-0.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Baller told the Anchorage Gazette.
