The Anchorage Wheelers picked up a win at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo, knocking off the Amarillo Armadillos, 2-0. Starting pitcher Goaty McGoatFace was a big reason why. McGoatFace went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-0. Richard Dick earned save number 2 this season.

The outcome was still in doubt in the top of the ninth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Amarillo trailing 2-0, Richard Dick needed to get a big out. On a 1-2 screwball, Kries Von Kriestalhauser struck out, putting the kibosh on a potential rally.
