Amarillo left-hander Barto O'Colon pitched his team to victory over the State College Swift Steeds at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium. The final score was 8-7. In 7.1 innings, O'Colon surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Matt Hunter closed the door for Amarillo, picking up his 1st save of the year.
Bill Slamsquatch helped the Amarillo cause with one out in the top of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Amarillo leading 1-0, he reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run.
