Thompson Slugs 2 Home Runs, Surge Beat Sloths, 3-2

The exploits of designated hitter Jazzy Thompson, who finished 2nd in the Champions in home runs with 30 in 2070, helped the Buffalo Surge defeat the San Antonio Sloths, 3-2. Thompson was 3-4 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The loss drops San Antonio to 4-1.
Thompson had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-2 cutter from Cybernetically Enhanced RoboDibble, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Surge a 3-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Thompson.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Thompson said after the game.
