Louisville and California duked it out and the Lemurs came out victorious.

California got a decent performance from pitcher David Sears, but it wasn't enough to beat the Louisville Lemurs. Louisville won the Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle contest, 5-3. Sears threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The Lemurs, now 7-3, have hit the ground running this season.

Diego Machado took California hurler Claudio Kilgannon deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the Lemurs on top, 5-2. In all, Machado had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We've got great fans," said Machado. "I hope they got what they came for."
