Firehawks Drop Ranas, 2-0
|
California used a superb performance from starting pitcher Adam Whittom to down the Puerto Rico Ranas, 2-0. MiPBE Champions Season 31 sewed up the save, his 1st. Puerto Rico now has a record of 1-10.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fifth inning, but Whittom was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Puerto Rico trailing 2-0, Whittom retired Jeremiah Bullfrog, who grounded out.
